My partner and I weren't sure if we wanted to get a Doula for the birth of our first baby but knew we needed some extra support in the birth. I had allot of anxiety about it all and he wasn't quite sure how he could help me through the process. We met with Nathalie and really liked her. Not only because she had great experience as a Doula but also because of her own personal childbirth experiences. I felt like she was strong and would help me feel in control. She was also easy going and willing to work with the hospital staff. I wanted to try to have a natural childbirth but was open to medical interventions as well. I needed support either way and Nathalie was willing to go with whatever was the best option for me. When my water broke I called her right away. She instantly gave me options, I could rest or go to the hospital. She helped me to feel like I had options and that things would be ok.
As labour progressed she helped my partner be part of the process by massaging or doing counter pressure with her. This was amazing because I'm not sure he would have known how to be as involved if she were not there. It felt so good to have her there as an advocate and also because her experience was amazing. I pushed for 3 hours which was so exhausting and at times I wanted to give up. That's when Nathalie was a great motivator. She would say I can see the head or just a little while more. Her and my partner held my legs as I finally pushed out my giant 10 lb baby boy love of my life! She also helped afterwards with breastfeeding and pretty much anything I needed. Our decision to have Nathalie with us as a support was one of the best decisions we could have made!

Like many women, my first labor was intense, scary, overwhelming and filled with anxiety and stress. I was giving every pain medication possible and I left the hospital feeling discouraged.
Two years later, when I found out I was pregnant with my second child, I was determined for things to be different. I knew I needed help to get through it and so I set out to find a doula. I had wanted to find someone bilingual as my husband and I speak both english and french. I ended up searching the internet and came across Nat. We met with her and I immediately knew she had the right energy.
We met a couple times during my pregnancy and she was very open to hearing my thoughts and questions. When I told her I was taking a hypno-birthing class, she even offered to attend a class with me to make sure we were on the same page.
Leading up to the day, Nat discussed scenarios with me that would arise during the process at the hospital and told me what my options were.
She never took a strong stance either way, and allowed me to make my own informed decisions.
Well, the day itself arrived quickly and Nat was there by our side the entire time. My husband & I can have quite high energy and anxiety at times, and she brought such a calm energy for us. When the rooms were full, and I was told to sit and labor in the waiting room amongst 3 other women, Nat found a solution and brought me to a quiet waiting area on the main floor and got me through the most intense part of my labor. She talked me through it, she rubbed my back, held my hips to help with the pain and never left my side. She worked as a team with my husband while I was in my own world trying to get through the intense contractions.
All said and done, I managed to get through the labor of my 2nd child without any pain medication. I’ve never felt more pride then I did in that moment. Nat was a key piece in my success and I truly could not have done it without her. I wish I had found her for the birth of my first child.
I highly recommend her without any reservations. She was professional, kind, respectful, knowledgeable and direct when she needed to be. I lost my mother 3 months before the birth of my second child and I was very emotional. Nat was loving and caring like a mother and comforting and honest like a good friend.
